Celebrating Rotary's Mission: "Service Above Self!"

Each year the Rotary Club of SLO Daybreak Charity Golf Tournament involves our club and the community in raising funds to benevolently give back to our local and international community. Net proceeds benefit local educational and vocational scholarships, local youth organizations and community service projects, and worldwide Rotary International service projects including polio immunizations.

In the 2016-17 Rotary year (July to June), SLO Daybreak Rotary awarded $40,488 locally in charitable contributions.

LOCAL GRANTS & SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED:

  • Educational/Vocational Scholarships $12,286

Local non-profit and community organizations we supported include Big Brothers Big Sisters, Food Bank Coalition, Jack’s Helping Hand, Homeless Foundation, Restorative Partners, YMCA, Downtown SLO, SLO Noor Foundation, The First Tee Central Coast, and United Way.

National, international donations and funding included Days for Girls, Rotary Foundation’s Polio Plus campaign, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), Shelter Box USA, and Tepehua Community Center in Central Mexico.
